Once you connect QuickBooks as a connected app within Glances, you will have access to create QuickBooks invoices directly from Glances. With Glances, you can add products and services, set an invoice number or let QuickBooks assign a number, set the invoice date and due date, set payment terms, add a customer memo as well as a private memo, select online payment options, and add attachments to the invoice.
Here's how to get started:
- Navigate to a customer's Glance.
- From the customer view, click the Action menu in the top right corner.
- Select Create QuickBooks Invoice.
- Select and edit relevant fields, such as description, unit price, quantity, and more. If needed, you can also create a new product or service directly from here as well. (Note: The ability to add Shipping and VAT/Tax will also appear when activated within QuickBooks.)
- Click Create Invoice to save.
This new invoice will now appear in QuickBooks.
Most Common Questions
I don't see the option to create an invoice.
In order to see Create Invoice, you must have QuickBooks connected, have a QuickBooks customer created, and have clicked into the customer's profile within Glances. Make sure you:
- Search for the customer. If you don't yet have a QuickBooks customer created, you can create one.
- Click into the customer's profile. You'll know you've done this when Glances searches for customer-specific information as shown in the screenshot here.
Can I edit my invoice?
Yes, you can edit an existing invoice.
What are Online Payment Options?
In creating a QuickBooks invoice, you may have the option to determine what payment options the customer is provided. By default, Glances will allow online payment options, including credit card, ACH/bank payments, and IPN payments. You can select Yes/No to determine what is offered for this invoice. This can also be customized for your team. Reach out to support@glances.com for assistance with this process.
What happens if I attach files?
By default, these are attached to the invoice email when sent to the customer. If you want to pull in attachments from a specific monday.com column, we can do that too through a customization for your team. Reach out to support@glances.com for assistance with this process.
