Glances brings data from QuickBooks to live in your monday columns. Using this data, you can trigger additional workflows and automations to make your work move more smoothly between teams. This article explores several common automations customers use. While the possibilities here are endless, these ideas will help you determine which automations might work best for your workflow.
When invoice is sent, update status to Invoice Sent
By default, the Invoice Status column will be Unknown. Once an invoice is sent, the status will update to Unpaid. If you want to update another status that tracks the overall project completion, you can update the secondary status when the invoice is sent.
When invoice is paid, move item to active projects board
Because Glances pulls invoice payment data from QuickBooks and can update a status column, once the status is Paid, use monday automations to automatically move the item to your board to track current customers and projects.
When invoice is overdue, notify sales rep
When the invoice becomes overdue, let your sales teams know and so they can make a personal contact to encourage payment of the invoice.
